Ready for the 2023 Season

I hope you’re ready for the 2023 shooting season – because it’s here.  Many of you got off to an early start at the Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club classifier match in January and the Western PA Section schedule is filling in with several upcoming matches in February (Gem City and Greater Pitt) and March (Gem City, Greater Pitt, Clairton, and East Huntingdon). East Huntingdon will be kicking off the new season with the New Competitor Orientation Class that will take place on Saturday March 25. For anyone wanting to attend the orientation class, you can get the details at this link.  http://www.ehpsa.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Orientation_2023.pdf  East Huntingdon has been hosting an annual orientation class for a long time and many Western PA shooters have attended the class.  You may have read the New Shooter Orientation article in the September/October 2022 issue of the USPSA magazine where the East Huntingdon orientation class was highlighted as an “excellent, proactive approach to new shooter orientation and recruiting”.  We work hard on this orientation class to make it a great way to enter USPSA shooting, and now is the one time each year to take advantage of it. And, of course, we will be hosting our season opener on Sunday March 26. Line up some ammo, oil up that gun, and clean your glasses, cause the off-season is behind us and it’s time to get back at it.
